Fortune is an Early Public Beta for anonymous messages, music, and gentle digital kindness through random discovery.

Most social apps begin with a direct relationship: a follower, a friend, a recipient, a target. Fortune starts somewhere softer. A message can be written without knowing exactly who will find it. Music can travel with it. A small moment of support can arrive without turning the experience into a feed, a ranking system, or a transaction-first product.

That is the idea behind random discovery.

In Fortune, random discovery means that an encounter is not built around profiling, chasing attention, or direct delivery to a specific person. It is closer to placing a small note into the world and letting it be found by someone who may need it at the right time.

This matters because many online spaces make kindness feel performative. A kind message often has to become a post, a reply, a metric, or a signal. Fortune is being designed for a different kind of interaction: quiet, anonymous, and low-pressure.

A Fortune message can be simple. It might be a few words of encouragement. It might include a song. It might be something the sender wanted to say without asking for credit. If the message reaches someone, the receiver can send back a small thank-you signal, so the sender can quietly feel that their message found a place to land. It does not need to become a public reply, a ranking, or a social performance.

Fortune is not a money transfer app, a wallet, a lottery, or a remittance service. The product is not built around targeting people or profiling them. The center of the experience is the message: anonymous, unexpected, and gentle.

I am building Fortune because I believe the internet still has room for softer forms of connection. Not every digital interaction needs to be optimized for speed, scale, virality, or conversion. Some experiences can be small on purpose.
